MOM is an Internet based Service computing the carrying capacity of a specific site
with respect to fish farming. An embedded fish model computes the amount of food and oxygen needed for a certain
production and the corresponding outlet of nutrients in excreted and particulate form (excess food and faeces).
A dispersion model computes the spreading of particulate matter on the bottom beneath the farm. A benthic model
computes the oxygen conditions at the bottom and the maximum allowable loading with particulate organic matter with
living benthic fauna. Water quality in the cages is computed by another model. The quality of the computations is
secured by the use of published sub-models. For safe estimates, environmental data from the locality must be available.
The MOM program has been developed in close co-operation with Institute of
Marine Research, Bergen Norway.
MOM is only available in english.

Fjord Env is a service that computes environmental effects of fish farming, municipal and industrial wastewater on fjords or
inshore areas. It can also be used to estimate environmental changes due to e.g. building of road banks and dredging in sea straits.
In the surface layers, environmental changes are expressed as changes in Secchi depth and in deeper layers as changes in oxygen consumption
and minimum oxygen concentrations. Fjord Env uses many published sub-models. It has existed since 1990 and has been much used in Norway
under the name Fjordmiljo 2.0, by marine consultants, institutes and in education. Version 4.0 has a number of significant improvements.
Fjord Env 4.0 is an Internet based service.
